50 years recognized from the West to East Coasts!

Wor. Bro. Clint Wadlington. A past master from Heartland Lodge #576 in California who is now living in New Hampshire recently passed his 50 year mark as a Mason.  On behalf of the Grand Masonic Lodge California,   Ken Weyler current Deputy District Grand Master for the First Masonic District of New Hampshire,  Dan Perry current Master St. Andrews Lodge, and  Rob Johnson Master St. John’s and Clint’s wife Pat.

 

100 years and counting!

On March 22, 2018  St. John’s Lodge  Brother  Robert Craig received the Centenarian Award from NH Grand Master  M.W. John E. Lobdell and the Master of St. John’s Lodge no. 1,  Wor. Robert Johnson,   at the NH Veteran’s Home in Tilton N.H.  Member’s of his family and Deputy District Grand Master for the 5th Masonic District Dave Cummings were also present to congratulate him on reaching the 100 year mark!

April Stated -Semi Public

A section of the April Stated Communication will be Semi-Public .  A presentation will be made by Theresa Tozier of Lydia’s House of Hope,  Please join to us to hear more about this community based program that is transforming lives while combating homelessness and generational poverty.   As with last year,   Lydia’s House of Hope will be one of the main organizations supported by St. John’s Annual Out Of Hibernation 5K Road Race.

Dues Card Due?????

Dues Caught Up for 2018??….  If not there will be an opportunity for members of St. John’s Lodge No. 1 to pay their 2018 dues and pick up your new Dues Card at the April 4, 2018, Stated Communication.  Asst. Secretary, Bob Sutherland, will  immediately issue dues cards to any St. John’s member who pays his 2018 dues that evening.  Take advantage of this opportunity and avoid the “snail mail hassle” !

March Master Mason’s Class

Masonic Protocol

–or is it etiquette,

good manners or

just plain courtesy ?

This class will discuss Masonic Potocol which will answer those questions and much more.

The Masters Class is designed for those who will, or might, work their way to the East but also contains important information for any MM. All are welcome to join the circle for an open and free discussion. This is not a class room setting with a lecture. It promises to keep you awake !

  • What does it mean by Style ?
  • Do we use the Style of the Brother or his position when in the Lodge ?
  • What is the use of the Top Hat in open Lodge ?
  • If the DDGM or GM is visiting, is it appropriate for the Master to remain covered ?
  • How do you receive the DDGM or GM ?
  • If there is a suite, who introduces the members of the suite ?
  • Who selects the members of the suite ?
  • Can the Master keep notes relating to Masonic Protocol with him in the East ?
  • Beside the Master and Chaplain, who else should be invited to sit in the East ?
  • How many can sit in the East ?
  • Who should the Master rely on for giving advise pertaining to Protocol ?
  • Who would give the final closing comments ?
  • If several closing comments are given by visitors, what is the correct order of presentation ?
  • And the questions go on.  The program is set in a round table format with comments from all.

Special Notice concerning March 7, Stated Communication

Brothers of St. john’s Lodge,

Due to the start of what looks like a serious “snow event” nor’easter, supper is cancelled for this evening.  A limited number of officers will be at the lodge to conduct an opening and closing.  A dispensation is being sought to allow us to do several business items on March 21st, prior to the E.A. Degree Rehearsal – check back in a couple days for more details about the meeting on the 21st.
