This Sunday, June 26th, St. John’s Lodge No. 1 will be conducting its annual observance of St. John’s Sunday with its traditional March from the William Pitt Tavern (Strawbery Banke) to attend services at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Chapel Street (Portsmouth). St. John’s Lodge will be joined by other lodges in eastern New Hampshire and officers of the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire. Step-off from the Tavern will take place at 9:00 a.m. Coffee and Doughnuts will be served outside the Pitt Tavern to those arriving between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. for the March. After services and the return March to the Pitt Tavern, a cookout will be held for participants at the Portsmouth Masonic Temple (351 Middle Street, Portsmouth, N.H.). Weather for Sunday is, at present, predicted to be warm and sunny, so please plan to join us in this long standing tradition of St. John’s Lodge No. 1. [Note: car-pooling for this event is greatly encouraged].
